A young woman, Lou Clark, is about to lose her job and does not know what to do but what she doesn’t know is that what is coming will keep her sane. Will Traynor, a young man living his normal lifestyle till one day, he got in a huge motorcycle accident which paralysed him and took his desire to live. What they both do not know is that, Lou will walk into Will’s life and change his whole world around.
I got recommend this film from the girls and just had to watch it straight away. I am so glad I listened to them because this is a wonderful film. A sad yet romantic storyline that had me in tears, laughing and happy all at the same time throughout the film. I have not even read the book yet, but I just want to read the book after watching this film. The films are never as detailed as the books, however, this film is so bittersweet that it will leave you happy and sad at the same time. It had such a beautiful storyline and I love the relationship between the two characters Lou and Will. When you watch the film, you really buy into their chemistry and affection for each other.
This is one of the best romantic films I’ve seen. I loved watching the relationship and bond grow between Lou and Will. There are so many touching moments that will make you want to cry with either happiness or sadness. You go through a whole range of emotions when watching this film.
If you are into and want to watch a proper romantic film then this is the one for you. Just be warned that there may be tears so grab yourself a box of tissues and some chocolates! Make sure you have a shoulder to cry on, grab the girls if needed, I would definitely recommend this film!

Set on a Greek Island, a young woman, Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), about to be married discovers that any of the three men could be her father. Sophie has never net her father and after taking a sneak-peek at her mum’s diary, she realised there were three lovers her mother had before Sophie was born. So she decides to invite all three to her wedding without her mother, Donna (Meryl Streep), knowing.
I have always wanted to watch Mamma Mia for some time now but have never gotten round to it. The storyline is well thought out and the dances are well put together. It really all brought the film together. I do love a good musical and ABBA so this was just a win win anyways. I enjoyed every minute of it. Meryl Streep was astounding as always – she really let her hair down in this film and acted amazingly. She is nothing like how you see her act in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’. Her comedic persona really came through and made this whole film a great watch.
This movie is definitely something to enjoy with the girls; a great sing-along to the ABBA classics from ‘honey, honey’ to ‘I have a dream’. I even found myself singing along without even knowing. It is just a lighthearted fun film. What is also good is that Mamma Mia doesn’t take itself too seriously. It is just a laugh and a great slumber party sleepover kind of film. It is something where you can just invite all your girls around – popcorn, drinks, blankets and definitely hairbrushes for those karaoke moments!
A good mix of tears, laughter and love that will make you feel like you’re a part of the gang and enjoy every bit of this movie. The cast members were all wonderful singers and especially the two lead actresses Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried impressed me. A well-made movie that is worth watching more than once!

To ensure none of the fairytale characters had their “happy ever afters”, the Evil Queen cast a curse on the whole realm and trapping them in a small made-up town called Storybrook, where time stands still. A land filled with characters that have no memories and no real hope and where the Evil Queen is in control. However,a young woman named Emma Swan is told she was to save the fairytale kingdom from this curse before she was even born.
If you are a fan of disney and fairytale stories then you must absolutely watch this. ‘Once Upon A Time’ manages to create this story behind every character and link them all in some way which makes it so much more interesting. It seems to work really well which is what made me hooked in the first place as you want to see the story behind these characters, how they know each other and what’s happened. The episodes consist of ‘the present day’ and many flashback scenes to what had happened in the past and lost memories of the characters back in ‘the enchanted forest’.
This is unlike any of the fantasy films that you may have watch before such as Twilight or Harry Potter. It really captures the essence of the fairytale side of things but definitely with a modern twist to where their trapped in this ordinary land outside of the enchanted forest. It is quite refreshing to see the back stories of the villains in this TV show which you’re immediately drawn into this feeling of sympathy for some of them as they were never always ‘villains’, especially the evil queen. This isn’t something that many films or TV shows have ever done as villains are usually just portrayed as bad people.
These series are so mind blowing. The storylines have been well thought out and the characters are amazing. You will never see anything that is like this out there. You will instantly be hooked from the first episode, and their still making new episodes to this day!

“Gossip Girl here. Your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite”
Following the lives of group of privileged teenagers on the upper East Side as they try to deal with their dramatic lives. With these teenagers hiding secrets from family and so called ‘friends’; a ruthless and mysterious blogger comes along revealing all their deepest darkest secrets for all to read about the upper east siders.
The upper east side, “adults acting like teenagers, teenagers acting like adults; spreading rumours, guarding secrets. All with the trapping of opulent wealth”. It shows how you can’t just buy your way into the upper east side. It is shown as this elite group that you had to be born into in order to be accepted. An ordinary Brooklyn boy, Dan Humphrey, found this out as he attended a private school where all the privileged teens attended.
‘Gossip Girl’ is a show that really targets all social issues that teens go through. Self harm, eating disorders, drug use, alcohol abuse, bullying and heartaches are just some of the issues that are covered. This show shows you how these teenagers got into the situation, and how they were one to resolve these issues and the consequences that comes with it. By discussing such realistic and relatable topics allows audiences such as myself to really engage with the characters on a more emotional level and develop a sense of identity with these characters.
Aside from the social issues, you will sit there going through all the emotions from “OMG” and “YES” to “Aww” and “Nooo”. These aren’t ordinary kids with ordinary families. The scandals that happen are well thought out and there is always something happening in each episode so you will never get bored!

Year: 2007 – 2012
When a girl is mysteriously murdered in a small town, four ex best friends are brought back together through these anonymous texts by a person going by the name ‘A’ threatening to spill their deepest darkest secrets. At first thought, you may think these secrets can’t be that big for four high school girls, but these aren’t any ordinary girls. Shoplifting, betraying friends and family, lesbian interests, dating a teacher and withholding knowledge of affairs that happen are only the beginning of what happens in Rosewood.
This isn’t like any ordinary teen drama shows that you see on TV. It has that hint of thrill where these girls are being taunted by this anonymous person and there is no escape. This TV show shows strong female leads as it is less about the relationships these girls have or don’t have but more about the bond between the girls themselves.
I had started watching this show when a friend recommended it to me as I had nothing to watch and I was immediately hooked. I am not a fan of anything scary but this show is so addictive. ‘Pretty Little Liars’ is unbelievable through-provoking, therefore ideas and theories are going to start popping up throughout the show. Something new and exciting happens in every episode. The characters themselves, have been developed incredibly; as you start to watch the episodes, the girls start to bring out this vulnerable side to them and you start to see that they have just been misunderstood and a little lost.
This is a great series to watch alone or with friends, you will ever get bored of an episode. Because you constantly want to find out with this ‘A’ is, it gives you something interesting to talk about with your friends when you see them and it’ll definitely make you want to watch more.
